Breaking Night: A Memoir of Forgiveness, Survival, and My Journey from Homeless to Harvard

Breaking Night: A Memoir of Forgiveness, Survival, and My Journey from Homeless to Harvard - Liz Murray I had no idea who Liz Murray was but love a good memoir. Murray's childhood alone was enough trauma for three lifetimes and yet the hard knocks kept coming. I love Murray's writing and her strength to share her story. Some of the stand out moments included the time her teacher poured vinegar over her head (what was that teacher thinking?) to recognizing and knowing what is in the pocket of her boyfriends jeans, and the point were she dedicated herself to get her diploma.[return][return] I really enjoyed this memoir and would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys memoirs/biographies, The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls, and to those who enjoy stories about drug addiction and overcoming or surviving the addiction.
