Skulls and Coffee

This one is a prequel of sorts to the series. It took me a bit to get into this one, but as usual, when I got absorbed I was up most of the night reading.

Story focus on Bill Gastner and the county's newest hire Estelle Reyes. They work together to discover who murder a county road grader. While the motive was a bit weak, the storyline wasn't and the plot and pacing was perfect. This would be a great book to try out this series.
