If you've been following Longmire since the beginning you will know that his past in Vietnam has shaped and influenced who he is today. This one tells the story of Vietnam as he deals with the eddy's of the past swirling through a current mystery involving Vietnamese girls. [return]There were some questions not answered in this-where did he go for two years after he got back from Vietnam?-but overall I thought the backstory was done exceptionally well and how it played into his current investigation was just fantastic. I would love to pick up the next one in the series but I am trying to save these. After all, once I become current in the series, I am at the mercy of Mr Johnson and his publisher.
