The Winter Ghosts
I picked this up for the War Through the Generations challenge. It's short, it has a gorgeous cover, and it has ghosts. It also one of the most beautiful books I have read in a long time. Mosse can really write haunting sentences. The book focus's mainly on the after effects of WWI. Freddie lost his beloved older brother and ultimately his nerves to the war. After years of trying to get on his feet and start living again, Freddie decides to putz around France at Christmastime. Then, Mosse weaves another story into the mix focusing on another generation and the massive loss of life and love, this time from the 1300's.
This was definitely a great book to read in the winter time and one I would recommend.
