Skulls and Coffee

With a blurb by Lee Child right there on front, I just knew I had to read this book. Although I didn't fall completely in love like so many others have, I have to say this was an ejoyable ride. And yes, I will be checking out what he writes next.
I'm gonna skip plot synopsis here and mention what I liked and didn't like here.
What I did like was Windermere and Stevens managed to avoid the cliched get together and became solid partners. I also like how the author created Stevens to love and respect his wife-you don't see that much in crime novels.
I liked the kids but I didn't totally buy it. Pender was the brains, but his heart belonged to Marie. And in the end, that's what does him in. I felt some of the kids were too dark but who knows what that lifestyle does for you in terms of psychological and mental changes.
Overall, I would recommend this to those who like thrillers and mysteries.
