Christmas at Eagle Pond
A lovely novella of the innocence before WWII in a New England farm. Donnie spends several days leading up to and including Christmas at his grandparents milk farm in New Hampshire while his mother recuperates from surgery in Connecticut. Full of great details on how farms ran and a way of life has disappeared. I would love to have this one to reread every Christmas.
