Skulls and Coffee

Two things you need to know before embarking on this book: Samantha Shannon is not JK Rowling. She is her own author and this is not a Harry Potter-esque book. This isn't a kids/YA book like Potter. The other is that this is the beginning of a series. There's a lot of world and word building going on. You get introduced to characters, the world, and if anything it's like a really long but really good intro.
I thought Paige Mahoney was a believable character-smart at times and boneheaded at others. She's loyal to her fellow clairvoyants despite Jaxon being a bit of a butt. The story of her and Warden isn't over and I can't wait for the next book and hope that explores that a bit.
I'm really brain dead-so here's the lowdown. If you're wanting a great fantasy novel and don't mind starting another series, I would really recommend this book.
