Skulls and Coffee

This was an unexpected surprise at my library but after reading the names of those involved with this collaboration I was willing to give this a shot.

Each chapter is written by a different author on the same story line. Perry, disgraced cop now PI, is hired to find Angelina "Angel" Loki. Even I, not aware of my Norse mythology and comic superheroes, have seen "Thor" and i know that Loki is a liar and trickster.

The first few chapters were rather boring and weren't holding my attention. In fact, I was about to just toss this. I decided that a lazy Saturday was a perfect day for giving this another chance and it does pick up.

My big issues was that the first few chapters that set everything up really didn't connect for me. I felt like I was riding along from Manhattan to Long Island with a very lost detective. Until I Googled Manhattan to East Hampton, I had no idea it was a 2 hour drive. For a Midwest girl, that isn't bad but I'm sure New Yorkers think differently.

Would I recommend it-not really. If you love these authors then give it a shot.
